09/24/2009 - Lakota Pronunciation Guide Up, Some Mistakes Fixed
The Lakota Pronunciation Guide is up and running. Some mistakes were just fixed in the initial version. We'll probably never catch them all, but we'll try. Please post links to SAIVUS on your site, or ask other sites to post a link to us or our tutorials. Links to SAIVUS already appear on Wikipedia.

The Cherokee Pronunciation Guide and Cherokee Writing Guides are next in line to be published, but first we will post a section containing bibliographies for Hawaiian, Lakota, Cherokee and Plains Indian Sign Language. Hopefully, this will hasten and encourage future research on these languages.

We will also post a links section. If you have a Native American languages website or blog send us the URL and we will include it in our new Links section.

09/22/2009 - Lakota Pronunciation Guide Slight Delay
There will be a short (24-48 hour) delay before the Lakota Pronunciation Guide is viewable.

Meanwhile, SAIVUS was featured in the Columbia Linguistics Society's Blog, Time and Tongue, and others.

09/21/2009 - Lakota Pronunciation Guide Launched
Our Lakota pronunciation guide has been lanuched at lakota.saivus.org. Please tell us what you think.

Also, some mistakes were fixed in the Hawaiian Pronunciation Guide. Thank you so much for all your comments. A Pronunciation Guide for Cherokee has nearly been completed, as well as a lesson on Cherokee writing.

02/14/2009 - Virus gone
saivus.org was one of the 79,000+ websites infected with the Anti-Virus 2009 virus, which prevented any of our sites from being accessed on major search engines. Thankfully, the virus has now been eradicated. If you feel your computer may have contracted the virus you can remove it by installing the software at http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/malware-removal/uninstall-antivirus-2009. We apologize for the inconvenience.

01/22/2009 - First Resources Published
The Hawaiian language section is now published. Materials only concern the pronunciation of Hawaiian. In the future we will have a comprehensive grammar section and wordlists. Check out: hawaiian.saivus.org and tell us what you think.
